In this age and time, being an introvert
does not seem to be what anyone easily
admits to....readily, everyone is trying to
prove they have the requisite social skills
of an extrovert.
However, here are funny but real reasons
why you just might be an introvert...do
read on!

1. You think before you talk and check
before you chat
Sort of the right thing to do huh?...You
have a consistently running internal
monologue that screens every word
before it drops from your mouth. Not a
fast speaker there...You screen your chats
too severally, before you send them...lol.

2. You go to parties -– but not to meet
people.
Nooo...you may not necessarily be
hanging out alone...but meeting new
people is rarely the goal of attending a
party. You simply get in your safe
harbour- looking out for your friends and
hanging out with them.

3. Great speaker, fearful mingler
You may not be shy...infact, you can give a
great speech in front of 500 people but
mingling with them one-on-one
afterwards is a huge problem.

4. You hate idle chatter
You can be in a room with room mates
with them discussing on a topic without
necessarily making a contribution...you
hate small talk not because you hate
people but because they seem
meaningless to you.

5. You are self conscious
Since you are not doing most of the
talking, you are doing most of the
observing and hence, assume that
everyone is observing you in the same
way...judging the way you speak, your
accent etc....whereas, they might not
necessarily be doing so.

6. You like extreme sitting positions
When you have to sit at a bench, you
don't sit in the middle because you don't
like being surrounded by people on all
sides. In church, you prefer the extreme
rows of seats to the middle ones.

7. You dread audience participation
You prefer a talk or a lecture to a
discussion or interaction. If you must be
involved in the latter, you must have been
informed earlier so that you can
"compose yourself".

8. You've been accused severally of not keeping in touch
The funny part is that you cannot fathom
why someone who called you three days
back would call you and say something like;
"You have forgotten me abi..."

and you're like,
"Are we supposed to be talking everyday"?
....you also do not like midnight,
except its utterly the last resort.
For you, it's too much time to waste on "nonsense talk".
You screen all your calls and you may
not pick up your phone even from people you
like only to call them back as soon as you’re
mentally prepared and have gathered the energy
for the conversation.

9. You're a Writer ...a good one at that.
Or sometimes, a poet.
You prefer to put your ideas in writing
than to speak them because the former gives
you the opportunity to perfectly choose your
words and structure your thoughts.


10. Friends made you and not the other way round
Check out the list of your closest and distant
friends and you'd realize that they made more
efforts at being your friend than you did
at the initial stage before you settled into the friendship.

If you can boast of some of these qualities,

then check again...against your initial
judgement, you just might be an introvert!

A MATHS QUESTION MY PASTOR ASKED ME

And just yesterday my Pastor Jonathan Onyekachi saw one of my "I love Mathematics" slogan and hilariously  gave me an unexpected question which he wanted me to solve within 24 hours. In his own very words the question goes thus:
Question: 

"Please prove that 1+1=1, this you must solve today."
Do you know what happened next? I got excited and smiled broadly to my self as I thought about what the Scriptures said about marriage. I guess your mind went there too.
Now, I picked up my KJV Study Bible to prove Mathematically that 1+1=1. And in few minutes of glancing through my Bible with my Mathematic mind, I came up with this answer in response to my Pastor:
Answer: 

Thank you very much for your question, Sir. I will prove it by referencing an authority much higher than mine in Mathematics.
According to Jesus Christ of Nazareth who in the oldest book with the latest news and most accurate historically scientific records, called the Holy Bible, He said in the Gospel according to Mark 10: 6 - 9

"6. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

7. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

8. And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

9. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."

From the above quote we can deduce that:

Male + Female = One_Flesh

Note:     Male = 1

              Female = 1

              One_Flesh = 1  

Therefore,  1+1=1.

7 Steps to Call in Your Harvest

In the natural, bringing in a harvest has always been a season of great celebration. The reward for sowing, watering and protecting precious seed symbolizes abundance and fruit from a season of work and sacrifice.

 

When it comes to a spiritual harvest, our expectancy should be the same. Sow, wait, reap. Sounds simple, right? Yet, if you’re like most people, you’ve found yourself at one time or another wondering what happened to your harvest.

 

You’ve sowed, prayed and waited. But nothing comes. In fact, it seems like a harvest is long overdue. Or, maybe the devil has come like a pesky crow and stolen all your seed. Either way, you’re left wondering, Could there be something more to this process? The simple answer is yes.

 

Are you due for a harvest?

 

Well, get ready for the windows of heaven to open, because the Lord of the harvest has a plan for you to receive the bounty of His greatest blessings. If you’re ready to see a visible return in your life, here are seven simple steps to help you call in your harvest.

 

1. Sow Seed for Your Harvest

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will

also reap.”—Galatians 6:7, NKJV

 

If you are desiring a harvest in your life, one thing is sure—you can’t reap if you don’t sow. The devil has tricked so many Christians into believing they can’t afford to sow financially or otherwise. He’ll work overtime trying to keep you in fear about giving away your resources. Why? Because he knows how much you stand to gain in both the natural and the spiritual realms.

 

Jesus said in Luke 6:38 that if you give “you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back”!

 

That’s a powerful truth! That’s why the enemy doesn’t want you participating in sowing. In fact, he’d prefer that you just forget about it altogether. But, that would only be to your own detriment because in Genesis 8:22, it is promised that while the earth remains, seedtime and harvest will not cease.

 

What is seed? Seed is anything you give. It can be time, money, resources, faith, hope or love.

 

The most important part of sowing is the heart behind the gift. So, when you sow, be sure you are acting as a good sower. Second Corinthians 9:6 says, “[Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings” (AMPC).

 

When you give in sorrow, there is no faith, so there is no return. So, sow your seed in joy and you will reap a harvest!

 

2. Get Aggressive About Reaping Your Harvest

“And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven

has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize—a share

in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].”—Matthew 11:12, AMPC

 

A common misconception about the principles of sowing and reaping is that we sow the seed, then wait for God to do the reaping for us.  When we do this, we miss a very important part we are to play! We sow the seed, God gives the increase, but we are to reap (or gather) the harvest.

 

In other words, you must become a sower and a mower.

 

To do so, you must become aggressive. If you leave your harvest in the fields, it will rot! Purpose in your mind today to become aggressive about harvesting. Leave nothing on the table for the enemy to steal—it belongs to you! Every seed you’ve ever planted is available if you haven’t reaped it yet.

 

Speak this aloud: “I am not just a good giver. I am a good reaper.”

 

3. Don’t Give Up on Your Seed

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”—Galatians 6:9

 

Jerry Savelle says, “Your harvest is determined by what you do while you’re waiting for it.”

 

Waiting is the toughest part of the sowing process, isn’t it? You sow your seed…then…silence. How can you be sure your harvest will come? A lot is dependent upon how you wait.

 

If you sow your seed in faith, you will expect it to grow, and you’ll keep expecting— no matter how long it takes. In the meantime, it is important that your words match your faith. Try this: Say, “I am expecting a record-breaking harvest.”

 

Once you have your words in line, refuse to surrender for any reason. If you give up at any point in the process, you will jeopardize your harvest. Allowing yourself to become weary or give up will forfeit what you’ve waited so long to receive.

 

Instead, hold tightly to what God has said about the return on your seed. Remember, harvest only comes in the right season.  As long as you stay the course, you are guaranteed to reap from what you have sown.

 

Maybe you’re waiting for a financial harvest, a breakthrough in a relationship, or healing and restoration in your body or emotions. Whatever it is, if your harvest is taking longer than you’ve anticipated, God’s Word and His promises are true. So, hold on!

 

God remembers every seed you’ve ever sown. So, don’t give up on your seed just before the finish line. Harvest is coming!

 

4. Keep the Weeds Out of Your Harvest

“And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to

keep it.”—Genesis 2:15, KJV

 

The word translated keep in Hebrew means “to put a hedge of thorns around, to watch over; to guard, protect and safeguard.” When a farmer plants seed in a garden, he doesn’t just walk away and hope for the best. No! He has much to do to protect his crop.

 

And so do you.

 

What can choke your crop? Walking outside of love. This includes unforgiveness, bitterness and strife. So, keep a watch on your heart, pull the “weeds” out by the roots when they crop up, spray them with the Word, and cast them out with the help of the Holy Spirit.

5. Water the Seed of Your Harvest

“Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield

her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.”—Psalm 67:5-6, KJV

 

A farmer would never think of planting a field full of seeds and then neglect to water it. It would be a death sentence for his crop!

 

The same is true of seed we sow. It needs to be watered. But with what? Praise and thanksgiving—the language of faith. Throughout the Bible, we see praise and thanksgiving associated with a resulting harvest.

 

Praise God and thank Him in advance for your harvest. Thank Him that the hundredfold return is working all the time.

 

6. Put In the Sickle for Your Harvest

“But when the grain is ripe and permits, immediately he sends forth [the reapers] and puts in the sickle, because the harvest stands ready.”—Mark 4:29, AMPC

 

Mark 4:29 demonstrates our role in reaping the harvest. To gather and collect our bountiful harvest, we must put in the sickle.

 

What is a sickle? It is a sharp instrument used for cutting crops during a harvest. Our sickle is the Word of God coming out of our mouths.  Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow….”

 

We reap our harvest the same way we acquire anything else—by faith. Our words of faith cut down the crops and bring in the harvest. In fact, words are an important part of the entire process of sowing and reaping. What you say is what you sow. And the words you speak today will dictate tomorrow’s harvest. So, be sure your words are calling in your harvest with faith. They are a powerful harvesting tool!

 

7. Command Your Harvest to Come

 

“Behold, the hire [or the harvest] of the labourers who have reaped down your

fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped [the harvest] are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.”—James 5:4, KJV

 

When your harvest is ready, it will cry out for its rightful owner. How do you command it to come in?

 

Cry out to the Lord for your harvest.

 

Now, to cry does not mean to whine or act pitiful. It is a cry of faith. It means to proclaim, and demand immediate action with aggressive force and passion. It means you cry out and say, “Satan, in the Name of Jesus, release my harvest!” and “Angels, go gather it up NOW!”

 

Practice these seven steps to call in your harvest! If you’ve been sowing seed, it’s time for you to see a harvest. Release your faith and get excited about your harvest!

The Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), operator of the Production Shoring Contract (PSC) with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and it’s other co venturers; ExxonMobil, Total and NAOC, hereby announce the test for a 6-year full board secondary school scholarship in selected secondary schools across Nigeria.

2017 NNPC/SNEPCo National Cradle to Career Scholarship Programme

The invited students were selected based-on their performance in the 2017 National Common Entrance Examination conducted by the National Examination Council (NECO). Candidates have been selected from each State based on the criteria below:

Criteria For Award

    * Pupil must be Nigerian and have written the National Common Entrance Examination organized by NECO.
    * Pupil must be indigenes of the State in which they were selected from.
    * Pupil must be in their final class (Primary 6) of a public primary school in Nigeria.
    * Pupil must be physically present to write the test at the designated school in the different locations.
    * Guardian/parents of pupils must sign a consent form confirming the authenticity of documentation provided during the accreditation exercise.

Candidates are expected to be accompanied by their parent/guardian to the examination centres and will be required to come with the following documents:

   * Two recent passport-sized photograph
   * Letter of introduction from primary school attended
   * Letter of identification from the Local Government Area of Origin.

Screening and test for the selected students who SNEPCo shall contact directly will be conducted on the date stated below.

5 MUST-DO STEPS TO FULFILLING GOD'S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE

It’s simple: We don’t chase after things we have no desire to obtain. Therefore, our pursuit of anything is ample proof of valid desire. But desire alone doesn’t bring success. We must have a clearly defined strategy.

Defining a successful strategy is one of the most challenging exercises a man faces. Even Jesus warned of this process in Luke 14:28-30 (NIV):

“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.”

God leads us in steps, not by leaps. Most men want to jump into their success, yet a “leap of faith” is not a biblical concept. If we’re going to fulfill our purpose, we must take steps to do it.

Here are five important steps you can take now to fulfill your purpose.

Step 1

You must decide for yourself what is worthy of your pursuit. No one else should decide for you. You may receive counsel from others, but you should make the decision; otherwise you will be unfulfilled in your pursuit. There are countless stories of men who achieved great success yet remained unfulfilled because they were living another person’s dream.

Step 2

Go to your Source to understand your potential. God spoke to the land and said, “Produce!” He spoke to the seas and said, “Teem with creatures!” He spoke to Himself and said, “Let Us create man!” Only God has a complete understanding of why you were created and what your potential is. You may have a hint or a glimpse of this understanding, but you will never know complete fulfillment until you fully know the Source of your potential.

Step 3

Write down on paper or develop a vision board of every dream, goal or desire that is important to you. Write down anything you want to become, do or possess. This is extremely important. I’ve learned that what I have received from God requires me to write it down so I can repeat it often and closely guard the accuracy of the goal He has given me.

Step 4

Narrow your focus to the top three pursuits. After you’ve written down what you want to become, do or possess, develop actions steps you can take now to create momentum toward those things. The big vision will come from a series of small decisions.

Step 5

Be aware that God will network you with others to help you get where you are going. People are God’s hands on this earth. You may find two different types of people will come into your life—one a person you have the ability to help, the other a person who has the ability to help you. Recognizing and discerning these people is vital.

You will never achieve your purpose in life unless you become strategically motivated to pursue it. Make plans right now to get alone with God, pursue Him and listen for His affirming voice to clearly define your purpose, write it down, develop action steps and get moving.

REAL MONEY

Real money is not the paper money people use. Rather, real money is the value for which that paper money is exchanged. Paper money is just a means of exchanging values with ease, it's not the real money.

The absence of paper money is not what makes a person poor. Real money is actually invisible, it is the value or worth attached to a thing which is determined by its use-ability and rarity.

When God created the world He didn't have paper money as a start-up capital. He created things which can be seen out of things which cannot be seen (His internal value/worth) see Hebrews 11:3.

Since real money is value or worth of a thing or idea, the question now is: How do I build value/worth so as to attract more paper money with which to make exchange for other values I desire?

The greatest value on earth is in human beings; not in the best cars and best airplanes or gold mines of  South Africa. That's why God so loved the world (of human beings, not things) and He gave His son for the world.

FOLLOWING THE CLOUD Series Part III

Just like I said in the part two of this discourse, I shall use the storyline of the Israelites' movement from Egypt to the Promised Land to illustrate the importance of having a destination, following guidelines and instructions to be able to make the most of life's opportunities and as well reach our destination in good shape and good time. I started this discourse as a result of a trend I noticed on social media whereby renowned and respected thought leaders were a kind of questioning what I would call principles relating to how some church ministries and ministers of the Gospel have been operating of recent. These said principles, I believe has helped/brought them thus far they have been. But as it is often the case, man tend to forget history which is why history will often repeat itself. As the journey of life begins to get busy and rowdy, lots of human philosophies begin to crop up. Out of confusion and the quest to attain a supposedly more exciting life, some men begin to counter the very principles that have brought them thus far. Questioning things like going for soul wining as a way of seeking God's kingdom first, tithing our increases, giving of special offerings otherwise called sacrifices and the likes of that, with the opinion that it means working for our salvation which ought to be free is uncalled for because God is no author of confusion. If following the cloud of God's presence has been our practice, it would be difficult for us to begin to deny and challenge the very principles of life that have brought us thus far. Relating my discourse to the Israelites' kind of journey through the wilderness as recorded in the Bible book of Numbers chapter 9 verse 15 to 23 from which the theme of my discourse, Following The Cloud, is coined; 1. Every man has a starting point in life and is headed somewhere, just like the Israelites leaving Egypt to the Promised Land. 2. The Hebrews (Israelites) were led under Moses to follow the cloud of God's presence in their journey. 3. Kicking against the leading of the cloud is choosing to live longer in the wilderness, with little hope of ever reaching the Promised Land. 4. Moses as God's chosen leader is to help guide the people in following the cloud of God's presence. Challenging him means risking ever reaching the Promised Land, just like some of the Hebrews never reached the Land of Promise. God taught me many years ago that whenever I see a "David", which meant a man anointed or chosen by God, never oppose him, rather, cooperate with him in every way possible. Challenging the teachings of the man God has set over you is like imitating those men who opposed the leading of Moses and as a result wasted away in the wilderness. It is wiser to be who God has called us to be, either a barber, a nurse, a builder, a teacher/lecturer, an engineer, a solicitor, a farmer (feeder of nations), a writer or whatever the case may be; following the cloud of God's presence, however it leads per time. FOLLOWING THE CLOUD Series Part II

When an aircraft takes off from an airport, the pilot flying it must ensure he stays in contact with the men in the control tower at the airport for him to be able to navigate the aircraft safely to its destination. Failure to maintain communication with the nearest control tower at each point of the journey will only result in disaster. In the same vane, a driver embarking on a journey must first of all have a destination or else he will keep driving around town with no arrival because he has no idea of where he is going. A wise man once thought and said, "If you don't know where you are going, anywhere may look like it." It is expedient for anyone embarking on a serious journey to have a clear picture or idea of his destination and this demands a clear step by step movement. In the business of daily living, I want to first recognise the fact that human beings have a divine origin because we were all created by God. God is our maker and manufacturer. And like every other manufacturer God is in a better position to give guidelines and instructions on how His product should be used. Challenging proven principles of life such as the idea some ministries have in the area of soul winning, tithing, giving of special offerings in the church and the likes of that is tantamount to questioning the manufacturer's guidelines and instructions. Failure to follow the manufacturer's guidelines and instructions on how to use his product is like a pilot refusing to follow instructions from the control tower and the only possible result of that is a crash. In subsequent sections of this discourse I shall use the storyline of the Israelites' movement from Egypt to the Promised Land to illustrate the importance of having a destination, following guidelines and instructions to be able to make the most of life's opportunities and as well reach our destination in good shape and good time. ... FOLLOWING THE CLOUD Series Part I

Following the cloud is a phrase God put on my mind some years back when He began to teach me the importance of following divine guidance in the business of daily living. The phrase simply refers to following God as He leads per time as exemplified by the Israelites when they moved from Egypt to the land of promise. A brief account of that Israelite experience is captured in the Bible book of Numbers 9:15-23. I began to learn that true success is not measured by possession and popularity. I understood it is measured by the level of attainment of God's original purposes and plans for a man's life. I as well understood that following God's guidance per time is the surest way to attain the true success I so much desired. Everyone maybe alive and living but very many are simply existing, with no meaningful purpose or intent to their lives. Having discovered the importance of following the cloud (i.e following God's periodic leadings), I have chosen to stay in touch with the "control tower" like a pilot flying a plane and like a driver on a journey my mind is fixed on my destination so that I will know when I reach there ... THE LOVE HE THOUGHT HE HAD FOR HER

That awkward moment he realized that all the love he thought he had for her was a mischievous self-delusion because all he was doing was show-casing to his guy-friends the psychedelic-beautiful-property he was about to acquire as a wife.

               Now he is back from his blissful trip of ignorance and suddenly realizes that all she has to show is her master’s degree in cosmetology and fashion parade. She has little or no culinary skill neither did she attend her motherhood 101 classes.

                Having realized all of these I wonder what he is going to do about her. Nevertheless, my sincere question has been: what generation of homosapiens will these duo produce?

THE LOVE SHE THOUGHT SHE HAD FOR HIM

           
  That awkward moment she realized that all the love she thought she had for him was a mirage of a very sunny day. It was induced by his constant supply of all she could ever think of asking him. He is wealthy enough to even take her for a month’s holiday in Burj Khalifa.
          Now she suddenly wakes up from her dream in Eldorado and begins to notice he can’t speak good English and so can’t fit into her social class because all he has is a basic school certificate. She begins to avoid him and ignore his calls and wrongly-composed text messages. All these because the dough no longer flows like before when government policies were still favouring his international oil business.
          Having realized all these, what will she do about he? I pray it favours the next generation of homosapiens.
